[AHS.EmergencyPreparedness] Local Instructor Course Offering

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am happy to report that recruitment efforts for a State Training Administrator are rapidly moving forward.  Finding the right individual is, unfortunately, a complicated and time consuming process.  I appreciate that this effort has slowed down many future items on our educational agenda and I thank you for your patience.

Historically, Vermont EMS has offered an annual instructor coordinator program designed to license new EMS educators at no cost to the candidate.  We still intend to offer this program so as soon as the Training Administrator vacancy is filled, but knowing our schedule has been pushed back a bit, I wanted to point out a local option.

The National Association of EMS Educators will be offering their Instructor 1 program in Plattsburgh, NY from 19-21 July.  This class meets the requirements for Vermont IC licensure and may be used as the didactic portion of IC training.  Vermont IC candidates must still complete an IC bridge class and student teaching, but our office would be glad to work individually with any candidate completing this course.
