[AHS.EmergencyPreparedness] EMS for Children Advisory Committee Recruitment

Hello all,

Vermont's EMS for Children program is recruiting EMS provider representatives and a Family Advisory Network (FAN) representative for the EMS for Children Advisory committee.

What is the EMS for Children Advisory Committee?

  *   A group of individuals responsible for counseling Vermont EMSC, assisting in prioritization of EMSC issues, and working to improve emergency medical services for children in prehospital and hospital settings
  *   EMSC Advisory Committee members are experts who champion for better pediatric emergency care and assist in implementation of performance measures
What does an EMSC Advisory Committee member do?
Members contribute to EMSC activities in numerous ways, including, but not limited to:

  *   Attending quarterly meetings of the Advisory Committee
  *   coordinating special community outreach projects
  *   assisting with the development and implementation of EMSC performance measures and priorities
  *   helping to plan, present, and promote educational offerings within Vermont
What is a FAN rep?
Family Advisory Network representatives are individuals from the community who are interested in improving pediatric emergency care in the hospital and prehospital settings.  FAN reps do not need to have prior experience in EMS or the hospital environment.  They must be able to represent the family perspective in EMS and have a passion for pediatrics. Many FAN reps have children who have utilized the EMS system.
