Two-Credit Graduate Level Online Course
Nationally, unintentional injuries and violence are the leading causes of death, hospitalization, and disability for children ages 1-18.  In Vermont, the unintentional injuries and violence statistics mirror the National numbers, with suicide the second leading cause of death for 15-19 year-olds.

Each day we read about trauma incidences happening across the nation.  Aggressiveness, violence, and shootings are all too common, but violence starts long before the act itself.

This graduate level online course, offered as one of a series of courses by the VT Higher Education Collaborative toward health education endorsement,  explores all aspects of violence, media's influence and what you, as an educator or other professional working with youth, can do about it.  .
