Hi all,
We are developing our relationship with the Town of Johnson around
substance use policies. Last month, you may have heard, the the town select
board approved 4-1 Willow Crossing Farm to host a Legalization
Celebration that expects 2000+ people on July 1. (Article in local paper
here
<https://www.stowetoday.com/news_and_citizen/news/local_news/cannabis-celebration-coming-to-willow-crossing-farm/article_4c5855e2-5f75-11e8-b75c-dff263219cd4.html>.
Event details here <https://headyvermont.com/celebration/>.) We just held a
policy roundtable yesterday for town leaders in the Lamoille Valley and
concerns about this event were mentioned.
Any creative ways to support a prevention agenda specifically in
anticipation of this event, as well the July 1st legalization in general?
Please share any immediate, short term an long term strategies. For
immediate communications strategies, local media deadlines are imminent.
Any specific ideas/strategies/language/content that we could implement
quickly in and around the town of Johnson and neighboring towns in our
catchment area?
All thoughts welcome and appreciated as we engage in this work locally.
Thanks,
Alison
