 Seeking a Coordinator for Prevention Works! VT, a network of organizations
and community efforts across Vermont working to decrease the prevalence of
substance misuse. The mission for Prevention Works! VT is to create and
lead advocates to work collaboratively on policy, practice and attitudes
that promote prevention, health and wellness with one voice.



*Title:* Prevention Works! Coordinator   *Reports To:* Prevention Works!
(PW!) Steering Committee

*Description: *Support various programs, projects and individuals
associated with the PW! Mission. 32 hours per week max.



*Qualifications*:

Experience with public health approaches to substance abuse prevention

Strong community organizational skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Aptitude and passion for policy improvement and substance abuse prevention

Demonstrated transparent and high integrity leadership



*Work Duties:  *

·      Lead Prevention Works! in a manner that supports and guides the
organization’s mission

·      Communicate effectively with the organization leadership and
provide, in a timely and accurate manner, required reports to the Steering
Committee, Fiscal Agent and grantors

·      Build and maintain connections with relevant community, state and
national organizations and pursue new opportunities for collaboration

·      Advocate with Legislative Support and Steering Committee on policies
and practices for community health and wellness with local and statewide
officials and policy-makers

·      Research and evaluate relevant community data. Utilize a working
knowledge of significant developments, trends, and best practices in the
field of substance abuse prevention. Attend regular trainings.

·      Strategically work with the Steering Committee and staff to increase
funding streams

·      Oversee PW! online presence including website, social media pages,
and e-newsletter



•    Report detailed and timely information to the Steering Committee on
both successes and challenges related to grant initiatives, organizational
function, finances, and programming



This is a work-from-home position and requires that you have a reliable car
to drive to meetings & trainings throughout rural Vermont during various
weather conditions.
