Good morning,

There are a limited number of free seats available for the following Prevention Solutions at EDC<https://preventionsolutions.edc.org/services/online-courses> self-paced courses through ADAP's Regional Prevention Partnerships Grant. If you are interested in any of the offerings, please follow the course activation instructions attached to activate the course(s). You must complete the course within a month of activation, and the course access will expire 10/31/2020.

What is the SPF?
Interactive, self-paced course offers practitioners new to the field of prevention a "just in time" opportunity to learn about the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF)-SAMHSA's five-step, data-driven planning process. Using a case-based approach, this course engages practitioners in each step of the model, following five communities as they work to assess local needs, build capacity to address prevention priorities, plan prevention activities, implement evidence-based strategies, and evaluate their prevention efforts.

Introduction to Substance Abuse Prevention: Understanding the Basics
Learn about the history of prevention, key concepts and definitions, and specific drug effects-and get a glimpse of the effects of substance use and addiction on the brain. This course is a required component of the Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training.

Prevention SustainAbilities:
Understanding the Basics (Part 1)
Find out what sustainability looks like in the context of substance misuse prevention-and how to prepare for sustainability planning in your community.
Planning for Success (Part 2)
Explore a step-by-step process for developing a written plan to sustain successful substance misuse prevention practices in your community.

If the code is not accepted when entered, the seats have all been filled and the cost will not be waived - be sure to follow the instructions closely. Please share this opportunity with your Vermont partners in substance use prevention.

Thank you,
Hilary
