Hello Valued Prevention Partners!

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Natalie and I am the Programs
Coordinator at The Collaborative, located in Londonderry. I am reaching out
regarding two potential events we would like to host and I'm wondering if
any of you out there have ideas about who would be a great fit to help
moderate and/or join a panel discussion.

Here are the two events:

*1. A "The Social Dilemma"
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaaC57tcci0> online Watch Party and Panel
Discussion* - This is a 1 hr and 34 minute doc that speaks to the nature
of social media really being integral in cultivating myriad negative
results in our society. We hosted a viewing of "Screenagers: Next
Generation" last year and this seems like an appropriate follow up.

We would love to potentially host this fall - late October or early
November. This event would be part of a larger series of events for our
Refuse to Use Program, which provides substance misuse and asset building
lessons to help support youth and their caring adults. It would also be
open to the public.

*My ask for this event is this:*

a. Do you all have any ideas as to someone within our state or regionally
who could moderate this event? I'm not sure we would show the whole film -
perhaps targeted clips with discussion in between to enhance engagement -
we don't want people leaving - with a panel discussion afterward?
Additionally, do we have ideas as to who would be willing to sit on a
panel. This event would be targeted toward our RTU audience, but could
certainly be open to a wider audience as well.

*2. ACE/Trauma Workshop* - This event would be part of our Refuse to Use
Programming to offer in January. I would love to have a
presentation/workshop that engages youth and their caring adults in a
meaningful way about the impact trauma has on development and offer them
some solids skills to use moving forward

*My ask for this event is this:*

a. Who can you suggest to lead this workshop that is local or regional?
This will be a required event for participating Refuse to Use families and
would be a rather large group - we had over 400 students register last
year. This webinar would need to be recorded so families that aren't able
to attend can view later.

Thank you so much for your ideas in advance! I hope you all are doing well!
I'd love to hear your suggestions or thoughts on this programming!

Best,

Natalie
